Journeyed down the Spanish motorway through very picturesque mountainous terrain from San Sebastian to Bilbao with the primary purpose to visit the Guggenheim Museum.

The Guggenheim is amazing - spectacular building which is impossible to describe and needs to be experienced.  Some fantastic permanent installations - including one massive steel sculptural installation which is an amazing experience in itself.




Saw an interesting temporary exhibition by a chinese artist ... responsible for desiging the fireworks associated with the Beijing Olympics.

Bilbao itself is a rather lovely Spanish city with the usual ornate architecture.
