After a slightly scary boat ride (its not very comforting when people start shouting that the engine has a problem because the boat is too heavy.. but what do they expect when they cram so many many many people on the boat?!) we made it to the island of Phi Phi which is just stunning.

The island was devastated by the tsunami so everything here is new and there's a lot of building going on.

We spent many lazy days on the beach and one heavy night in the bars drinking out of buckets! Why use a glass when you can have a bucket..??

We also took a day boat trip around the island of Phi Phi Leh where they filemd "The Beach".. but there were too many boats there to really appreciate it. We also stopped at Bamboo Island which was beautiful, we went kayaking and snorkelling.. the water is so clear and we saw little fishys in all different colours!

They also have great markets here... we're getting better at haggling over prices, but mainly they just laugh at us when we try bargaining!!
