I tried to sign up for the salt flat tour leaving the morning after I arrived, but sadly we did not have enough people to fill our car. I was heading towards Tupiza, which is not as popular of an end point for this tour as is returning to Uyuni or heading to Chile. As a result, I was stuck in Uyuni for an extra day, but it actually turned out just fine...I met someone quite special on my first night, but I'll have to provide details at a later date. I spent my extra day doing laundry, emailing (connection is SOOOOOOOOOO slow though), sleeping, and doing a bit of sightseeing with someone from the tour agency...and now I am about to head off to the salt flats!
