We took a nine hour overnight bus from Lima to the city of Trujillo.  A short taxi ride later we arrived in Huanchaco a little beachside town famous for its surf and fantastic seafood.  We were pretty desperate to spend some time chilling out after the lots of busy cities and Huanchaco was definitely the place to do it.

Mark had expertly managed to book (by phone, in Spanish - very impressive) us into the fantastic Naylamp hostel.  We had a great double room with ensuite, cable tv and just outside our room a great patio area for sitting and watching the sea.  We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed staying at this hostel, it was the perfect place to sit back and enjoy a few beers with a great crowd of guests.

There is not a hell of a lot to do in the town other thant pretty much relax, sunbath, eat some fantastic seafood, drink some cold local brewed Trujillo beers by the beach and generally have a fantastic time which we did!  God Bless Huanchaco!!!!

HI Claire & Mark, first opportunity I've had to review all your blogs what wonderful and beautiful places you have visited, I envy you, best decision you made. Life at work is the same, about to start building work on the house - looking forward to the end result but not all the pain, hopefully all will go well. Anyways you keep safe and enjoy. Love Rav xxxxx
