Just arrived in a town called Gornay after cycling no less than 59 miles to get here! AND I managed all those miles on a slice of toast, a modest breakfast on the ferry and an energy bar.
I'll tell you what....I'm blimin knackered!!
After spending 20 minutes trying to work out how to get out of the ferry dock we set of from the ferry town of Dieppe on a beautiful cycle route called Avenue Verte(which from my GCSE French I know means 'something green'). The route was absolutely stunning and passed through beautiful french farmland and countryside, and it was lovely and flat
The last 18 miles of the journey was pure up and down hills..it was hard work but the thought of some lovely french wine and tasty fondue spurred me on, and we made it here at 8.30pm....exactly the time we were aiming for which i think is pretty marvelous!
I am now off to eat everything on the menu.
