I have survived my first long-haul flight, which was 2/3 of my trip. 20 hours from Toronto to Hong Kong. 11 hour lay-over here. Flight leaving tonight to Melbourne is another 9 hours. Ugh. I don't know how little sleep I've had. It's 3:30 a.m. Toronto time, so I should be in bed, but instead I'm hanging out in a traveller's lounge that I paid for. The luxury or a shower and a 2-hour nap made it worth it though. And internet access, obviously.
If I never hear another baby cry, it will be too soon. I don't know if I was in the baby crying area of the plane, or if it just like it, since that's where I sat for 20 hours. I thought the worst cryer had an ear infection or something, which would justify the screaming, but he was still wailing when we landed. I hope I hope there are no screamers near me on the next flight, because I need to sleep.
