Caught a 3 hour ferry from Buenos Aires to the colonial town of Colonia del Sacramento on the west coast of Uruguay. A huge cataraman and so quite a luxury journey for us!
Arrived to hot sunny weather and a very picturesque town. Spent a lovely couple of days relaxing, and rented a golf buggy (!) to drive about in. Meandered arounded the streets in this cart admiring the scenery, and then somehow managed to end up in the slum district!! Donīt know how we do it!
Next we were to catch a 2 hour bus to the capital of Montevideo. Uruguay is a small country by south american standards and so only short distances............
