Today was the seating of the House of Delegates and the morning was used to address the Biennial Report, recognize and congratulate the newly chartered chapters and recongize those chapters where there had been an amended charter. There were a number of presentations throughout the afternoon and I chose to go to one devoted to teaching clinical nursing through the use of avatars in Second Life. It was very interesting. I thought about multiple applications and I thought about its usefulness when we're unable to obtain speciality clinical rotations, e.g., pediatrics or OB.
At 5 pm, there were regional meetings (we will be in Region 12 once we are chartered) for everyone. Here I was warmly welcomed by the other 34 chapters in our region and I got to brag about our "Chapter in Waiting". I am posting a picture of Anne and me and a picture of an old friend, Terri LaMonica. The picture of Terri is to say to all of you that one of the best things about Conferences is that we see old friends and colleagues that otherwise are not available.
I will vote as a Delegate for members of the STTI Board tomorrow morning and then leave at lunch time. I will try to do one more posting before I leave. If not, I'll catch up with you when I'm home.
