We crossed the border into Bolivia today and finally said goodbye to Argentina. I was more than a little aprehensive, having spent so much time in such a European country as Argentina and having heard warnings of extreme poverty and difficult travelling conditions. Fortunately it seems our travels in Central America have prepared us for anything - in comparison, Bolivia is a walk in the park!
We made it as far as Tupiza, a small town in southern Bolivia. Tomorrow we head off with new friends Heather, Kat, Nick and Chrissy for a tour of the southern altiplano and the Salinas de Uyuni, the biggest salt plains on earth.
For today however, we contented ourselves with a horse ride (yes Mum, horse ride) into the canyons around Tupiza. Check out the short video clip of my extremely professional horse riding skills!
