Where I stayed
Nicola & Jason's
A week already since we arrived in Albany!
Lots of time playing with Caleb & Imogen my nephew & niece, no time on the beach unfortunately as the rain has continued most days...... but we bought a great game Pictureka which we played in California with Joan & Graham & their kids - thanks to them for the idea.
We have had a couple of nice days & took the opportunity to go cycling along some of the spectacular coastline including up to the windfarm on the cliffs - a long cycle uphill for people like us who are no longer used to cycling!
We took the kids on a History walk around Albany in a torrential rainstorm but luckily the gaol lent us umbrellas - & Caleb liked all the scary stories about the old prison, Imogen liked the Brig Amity - the first settlers ship.
Fish & chips at Emu point watching the pelicans was good as was the sushi for lunch. Nicola booked us all tickets for the jazz evening at a local restaurant which was a good evening out.
We had a gong session at the BIG cone at the Sandalwood factory - you'll have to look it up to understand! So were all very mellow.
We are going to do a garden makeover for Nicola & Jason at the weekend and Imogen wants to put up the Christmas decorations, before we head to Margaret River for a few days.
