People are very nice, very helpful, always smiling and ready to give you a tourism advise.
The train stations will bring you to anywhere you want to go and the taxi drivers are very polite. You dont need to worry about security as you will feel very safe in and around the different sites. Come to think of it - I didn't see a single cop during our 5 nite-6 day stay.
While staying at the Royal Queen's Hotel proved really great - they were the only hotel in town willing to accomodate me and my family of 5 (3 adults 2 kids) in one apartment suite. Kudos!
Visited Universal Studios on our first day - very tiring going around - (suggest a good pair of rubber shoes).
While we visited other parts, landmarks and commercial places in this lovely City, it was the Singapore Zoo where my kids really enjoyed. Had fun going around the area and at the end of a hot-humid day, nothing beats having to get a cooldown shower at Kids World. It is a small park within the Zoo that has an outdoor playground with lots and lotsa err... Water and shower.
I agree the City is a bit pricey, but that is the price you pay if you want to get your tax- money's worth from the government.
Worth visiting again, recommend shopping electronics at sim - lin (just not at the ground floor).
