Bignona is a beautiful city on the way from Ziguinchor to Abéné. The houses are like in between the forest. I stayed there two nights with the family of a student. And lucky as i was i could witness two very cool nights of Sabar dancing. On special occations - here it was a baptism and a wedding - they organize this dance for everybody. Its mainly the women who dance the traditional folkdance of their tribes. There is an amazing party spirit in this circle and the repetetive beat just kinda pulls you into it, unfortunately it takes a lot of courage - especially if you're the only Toubab (white person).
