So had written one or two of the blogs for Mauritania but have been told that due to FCO advice (Government advice) on where to travel – which affects your insurance – we are not supposed to be in sections of Mali or Mauritania. Hence, to avoid attracting attention to us, Oasis would prefer us to not advertise our whereabouts on online blogs in these countries since we are a big kick arse yellow truck which is kind of easy to spot and cause trouble to (and there's another one following behind a week later)!

So unfortunately I can say that we have hit Mauritania but can’t say anything further about where we are and what we are doing. Needless to say we have arrived here safely, are wandering around absorbing everything with no hassle, the people are super friendly and delighted to see us, and we are having a great time.

Next stop Senegal…………
