Valencia is so pretty...=P I really loved just walking down the streets and admiring all the buildings and unlike massive, hectic Madrid, Valencia is much more relaxed.  We didn't get up to much in this city, mainly because there wasn't much to do apart from wandering the streets and seeing all their churches and buildings.  The Cathedral in Valencia apparently held the holy grail but when I had a look it was just a nice altar...maybe I'm missing something =P.  The main plaza, Plaça de l'Ajuntament in Valencia was quite impressive and the walkways were tilled with marble!  Seems like this used to be a rich city =P.  The placa del Virgen near where we stayed was also very pretty and the fountain constantly covered by pigeons haha, seems like it's quite the place to hang out...the whole square was teeming with people at 12 am one night and we even saw a group of fixies amassing in the square XD.

The one thing to do in Valencia I guess is to go to the Arts and Science Museum Man that place was a lot of fun, unfortunately we only got 2 hours in there so we had to rush through a lot.  But definitely worth it!  The entire place is interactive and you can do all sorts of cool stuff...testing out a home of the future, measuring your jumping force, playing with funky semi-reflective mirrors and even see a Star Trek exhibit!  They even had a mockup of the bridge so you could sit in it and pretend to be Captain Kirk...=P haha that was pretty awesome, brings back memories.  We also went to the hemispheric which was like a planetarium but they played movies there...was pretty cool.  Just wish we had more time! XD

Food in Valencia was very nice...home of paella!  We only had one though since they were a little expensive but it was good!  Was a little salty but the lemon made all the difference =D.  Had a mojito too in Valencia...mmm so refreshing! and minty =P.  Unfortunately, there were no oranges in Valencia, well, at least they didn't advertise it as much as thought they might.  The only thing there was Agua de Valencia (water of Valencia) which was a drink with vodka and orange or something...a chick's drink aparently.  We did a tapas tour on our second day and it was kinda cool, the tapas weren't the most original but they were cheap and you get free drinks so we went.  The company was quite cool, we had a group of like 12 Australians, 1 Greek and our guide who was French-Canadian haha...so yeah very Australian but it was fun comparing stories and hearing about all these other places.

So yeah, that's Valencia, we only had 2 nights there so we didn't get up to too much, the city is very nice though as are the people.  The refreshing seabreeze is also a welcome relief after the heat in Madrid =P.  But yeah, I'd definitely recommend Valencia and I wouldn't mind coming back haha, just to see the science museum again =P and check out the beach =D
