Well after Tikal the plan was to make our way to southern Belize where it would be easier for Jerbo and I to part ways for our separate homes.
We had heard that Hopkins was a cool town. So we spent the day bussing it over to Hopkins. I canīt remember who it was that recommended Hopkins, but they shouldnīt be allowed to give any more recommendations. Its on the beach, but its not a nice beach (trash lines the entire beach) and the town is so tiny that its tough to get a bite to eat.
We pretty much blew the day traveling on sweaty hot buses. We spent the remaining part of the evening sitting in hammocks and getting into deep conversations about life, jobs, and girls. I think we covered lots of good ground and fell short on figuring out the meaning of life. We talked a lot about how does one know when the girl is the right girl. We agreed that it is pretty much the most important decision of ones life. It could make your life a mess or it could make it amazing. The one question (besides the meaning of life) that we couldnīt answer was why do people have children. We agreed that it was an evolutionary based desire that was very primal. Neither Jeremy or I are anywhere close to having kids and we canīt quite understand the concept yet. We admittedly both will probably have kids some day.
