This week I went over to the house where the 40 Batwa students will be living whom I'll be attempting to teach English and writing stories about for a church in Texas who is supporting them.  I got to chat with a few of them for a little while - through a translator, of course, and at the end of my visit, one of the young men asked if they could sing for me before I left.  Of course, I said yes, and without any instruments or anything to keep them on pitch, the four teenagers I was sitting with began to sing a praise song in Kirundi that was breathtaking.  The harmony was rich and full and as good as any professionally trained group I've ever heard.  The sound filled up the entire house, and I almost wept for the sheer beauty of it. I wish I could have recorded it so I could share the experience with people at home, but there was no way of doing it, and I don't think a recording would have captured the spirit of it anyway.  You would have loved it, too, I'm sure.  I believe it was a tiny taste of what heaven must sound like.  Though I couldn't capture the sound, here are a few pictures of some of the students and their new home.

* The pictures were taken on more than one day, which is why the singing and dancing pictures have more than 4 students in them.
