Last week my housemates and I had the privilege of attending a feast at Youth for Christ.  In addition to gorging ourselves on a number of Burundian delicacies - many different cooked vegetables, fried plantains, rice, sauce with beef (none of which was all that unusual to our American palates - though we think the cheese in one of the salads may have been the cause of several of us not feeling completely well the next day), we had the distinct honor of watching a group of drummers performing traditional Burundian songs and dances.  Pictures cannot truly capture the talent of the young men, so I've also included a short video.  Because this is my first attempt at video, and my equipment consists solely of the recording feature on my 3 inch digital camera, I apologize in advance for its quality.  Hopefully in its fuzzy 45 seconds you can experience a tiny bit of what we got to see.

Good job on the video!
I'm impressed. Except for the poor lighting, the video came through clearly. The sound was amazing and the rhythm of the drums and singing of the performers was perfectly clear.

I will try to send YOU pictures of the retreat on August 9, though I am a blatant amateur at this emailing pictures thing.

Praying for your joy and health,
Kathy

Bless the Beat
The video was great. I was sitting in silence waiting for it to start...and when it did..I jumped to attention. Thanks for sharing.
Love & Prayers
