Arrived at Jakarta airport this morning to be told my flight to Singapore was cancelled, no phone call or e-mail to inform me of this small fact. Customer services were crap. Never fly with JetStar, there're a bunch of monkeys!! I now have to wait until late afternoon to fly, 8 hours to burn in Jakarta airport, great! To add insult to injury I was ravaged my mosquito's once again while I slept last night. I think it's Asia's way of saying "don't forget me".

Today is the 125th anniversary of the biggest volcanic eruption in recorded history, Krakatau. As the crow fly's I'm only around 150km from this once mighty volcano. When it went boom in 1883, the explosion could be heard as far away as Sri Lanka and Perth and caused a tsunami over 30 metres high. I really wanted to visit Krakatau but I didn't have enough time unfortunately. So many things to see and so little time. The story of my travels!

Arrived in the oasis which is Singapore airport around 9pm, it's the best airport in the world in my opinion. The facilities are amazing, shops, free internet, good eateries and clean toilets with toilet paper (A novelty for me). Posted 3.5kg of unnecessary travel paraphernalia home. Just made it to the airport post office before it shut, should lighten the load a little. Found myself a row of seats in a quiet corner of terminal 3, and tried to get some shut eye before tomorrow mornings flight.

2 years to see it all!
Hi Chris,

Just thought I'd make a comment on this post: if it was possible to see all earth in 2 years time, that's be a bit sad, don't you think? :-) At least, you've got good grounds to get back there!! :-)

Hope you're getting used to Oz. See you soon, now!
