Caught another bus to Hallasan national park today. Mount Hallasan is 1950 metres above sea level and is the largest mountain in South Korea, it sits bang in the middle of Jejo island and is now extinct, I hope!

The plan was to head to the summit, around a 20km stomp there and back. I Managed 4km of the trail before heading back. Mosquito bites stopped me from walking any further. The mosquito's yesterday couldn't have bitten me in a worse place, 2 big bites on my shoulder exactly where my rucksack straps touch my skin, these I could deal with but the others I couldn't. My achilles heel was massacred, so my trainer was painfully rubbing. A massive swollen bite on the front of my ankle the size of half a golf ball, so everytime I took a step and bent my ankle, it was pure agony. Thinking of dedicating my life to finding a way to irradiate these little shits of the face of the planet. I really hate these parasites with a passion! They kill millions of people a year and I think it would be a worth while endeavour to wipe them off the face of the Earth. Rant over, I feel better now!

Hallasan has an abundance of unusual fauna and flora. A spotted a few tiny little Roe deer foraging on the forest floor. One bolted off as soon as it saw me, the other one just carried on eating, I watched it for a round ten minutes until I lost sight of it.

Staying in Jeju-si city tonight which is the capital of Jejo before heading back to Seoul tomorrow afternoon by plane.
