Overnight train to Chiang Mai

Visited the grand palace with its colourful ornate Buddhist temples, and moved onto Wat Pho which is where the massive reclining golden Buddha is housed. The temples in the grand palace are a bit tacky and kitche, not my kind of architecture, too fancy and false. The reclining Buddha was impressive though. It was a really hot day and walking around the temples in the heat was hard going.

In the evening caught the over night train to Chiang mai. Pretty impressed with the train, clean, comfortable and pleasant, certainly better than the sleeper trains in India.
