I decided to have a beach day. Went to Ao Loh Dalum beach this morning which is only a short walk from where I'm staying in Ao Ton Sai village. The little cove is incased with reasonably high cliffs and a few sea stacks in the distance on the east side. The first thing I did was jump in for a swim and just wallowed like a Hippo for an hour or so. The sea is so warm and pleasant it's like getting into a luke warm bath.

The afternoon was spend planning how to get to Ko Pha Ngan for the full moon party (If I decide to go, 50/50 at the moment), walking round the village and booking a boat trip for tomorrow. The boat trip sounds good, it's an all day trip and we have 1 hour stops on numerous beautiful beaches on Ko Phi Phi, Ko Phi Phi Leh and the surrounding islands.

Watched the sunset in a beach bar which was playing Nirvana non stop. Strange to watch the sunset in a beautiful cove with the shallow waves sloshing against the fine white sand listening to "Smell's like teen spirit" blaring in the background.

Met a nice British couple this evening and they took me to the Reggae bar which has a full size Thai boxing ring and referee. Anyone can fight, so obviously all the drunken westerners wanted to give it go. The first bout was hilarious with two skinny guys slapping each other in a very comicl fashion. Occasionally they tried to kick each other but just fell over in a heap, very funny. The whole place was in hysterics. The second bout was a different story, this was a hardcore battle, two big fellers got in the ring and I knew before it started it was going to be a real rumble. The bell rang and they started kicking and punching the shit out of each other. In the third round the carnage was over when one of the guys got clean knocked out, with a peach of a punch. The ref and a few Thai guys throw water over him to try and bring the guy back to consciousness. It took several minutes for him to come round. An entertaining evening, in a slightly sick and masochistic way.
