It's a nice warm day today as we leave Vienna for Lake Bled in Slovenia. We meet our Tour Director Tadeusz Suski and we have 51 people on tour, mostly Aussies but about 8 from South Africa, some from the US, Canada, Phillipines, India and 1 from New Zealand.

We arrive at Lake Bled around 3pm for a 2 night stay and a chance to do some laundry and hang it on the verandah overlooking the beautiful lake. A walk around the lake afterwards was very enjoyable, plenty of swans and ducks.

Slovenia is a small but beautiful country, it is mainly forests and the favourite past time in Summer is trekking and in Winter it's sking, mushrooms grow wild and are a favourite meal, got mushroom soup for the entree everytime.
