I'm sure you'll never guess where I went this morning-- German. And then, just as surprisingly, I did German homework until lunch, after which I went home and relaxed a little before meeting up with Courtney at the dorms. We then walked together across the river, where our two friends, Laurel and Kevin, performed their own recital.

They are the (very deserving) winners of the competition this year, and they nailed their performance. I'm glad that the whole program showed up to support them.

When we were finished there, Courtney, Eric and I decided to wait for Kevin and Laurel just in case they wanted to go out to dinner to celebrate. When they emerged, they already had different plans, so we went separate ways and had our own nice dinner at Il Sole, the Italian restaurant very close to SC. Stuffed with pizza, we went down the street to Murphy's, where a group from the program (including the rest of the Sassy Seven) had already settled. We joined them, as did another group from the program who arrived at Murphy's later than we did.

Eric and I walked Courtney back to her host mom's house before returning to the dorms and hanging out in the kitchen for a while. We (me, Kevin, Alesi, Laura, Charlie, and Kate) later decided to go to the basement of the dorms and see what was up at the bar, play a practice room piano, hit the punching bag in the storage room, and use the ping pong set/table. It was very late, but I just wasn't tired. I did eventually get to bed, and who knows how much sleep I'll cram in before tomorrow. Until then!
