Here I go again, waking up crazy early to beat the crowds and see the
sunset at Angkor. Eating my breakfast and waiting or Franck so we
can take off.
1:30pm
I'm going to have some fried rice and chicken in the hotel. Last
night I had some Loc Lac (a Khmer beef specialty dish) and it was
pretty good. The meat had a nie sauce and was quite tasty.
Today, with Franck, we did the complete "mini tour" circuit, in the
clockwise direction. We went straight up to Bayon, within Angkor
Thom, at sunrise. Being one of our favorite spots, we stayed
there for a good hour or so. There were some kids just outside
Bayon as well, so I snapped some shots of them too.
After Angkor Thom, we continued along the route to visit the temples I
had visited yesterday, which was fine with me, since I really enjoyed
them.
-ed. note: at this point, I was too lazy to keep writing in my written journal... so I'll add a couple of more details...
I'm super exhausted after riding my bike all over the temples and what
not. I went to a really nice cello concert from a Swiss doctor
that has free children's hospitals around Cambodia for Cambodian
children for free. He does concerts each saturday, his name is
Beatocello, and *please* check out his website and help with what you
can.
It's www.beatocello.com
Anywho, I'm probably off to sleep pretty soon here, it's already
almost 11pm here right now as I'm typing... I've had an excellent
time in Cambodia and I definitely plan on coming back and maybe doing
some volunteer work. I'm going to try and stop by tomorrow by the
hospital to give a blood donation.
Monday I take the much dreaded Siam Reap-Bangkok bus. Once in
Bangkok I will stay with another very kind Couchsurfing host, before
heading off to Myanmar for a couple weeks or so next Friday, or
thereabouts...
Ok, good night.

hola Christian!!
