I'm on the #375 bus to the Summer PAlace. I took the subway to the Northwest corner on the round subway line in Beijing, and then I walked around until I found the bus stop/
I just arrived at the Summer Palace about 15 minutes ago. Since I Was super hungry I figured I'd stop at a restaurant in a nice little traditional area of the park that surrounds a small lake or riverway. Seems I'll be having the beef noodles., for 12 RMB, or about 1.5 USD. I hope I get it soon since I'm starving, and I'll need some fuel to walk around the massive summer Palace. I think I'll probably be here for at least a couple of hours.
Just got on the #374 bus, for 1 RMB, from the South gate of the Summer Palace
The Summer Palace is SO so huge. I can't believe how much more there was to see. It was really really nice. It was still *Very* cloudy and hazy, but with nice, almost cool, weather. I Also met an English teacher named Arek from Poland who I might try and get in touch with later on.
Anyways, I'm pretty beat from climbing the huge hill from the North Gate and walking around all of the different places that are scattered all over the huge, huge Palace.
Oh, I was also treated to an awesome bit of some acrobatics show on one of the old old Palace stages. Now I'm definitely ready to head back and relax a bit. I just hope I make it to the subway!
So this is me actually on the computer writing a conclusion to the day. I *did* get pretty lost on the bus haha. I totally missed my stop, but was able to keep going a couple of stops after the *last* stop of the bus and made it, roaming around walking, to the subway stop. Score! So, I finally made it back, and relaxed a bit in the afternoon. Then I had some really nice dinner with Johanna. Now I'm finishing updating my blog and uploading pix, chattting with my mom and some friends and I'll pass out really hardcore. Till next time!!
