So I could've sworn I had already written this entry, but apparently not.
Anywho... I had a bit of a rough start in Loja, since I arrived without a single US dollar, or penny for that matter (they use US currency in Ecuador). Sooo, I couldn't call my host Diego, since there were no money exchangers nor any ATMs that would work.
Eventually, after about 20 or 30 minutes of begging people to lend me their cellphones to make a quick call and paying them in soles, a nice girl finally let me use hers, seeing that noone would help me. I finally got in touch with Diego, and after a $1.25 taxi ride, I was at his home. We talked for about 30 mins or so, and then I finally passed out around 5am, and slept till 10am.
After going with him to cast his vote (national elections today!), we then went walking around town, which was nice... Lots of nice parks and churches, and a nice walk all around. Then we took a $0.25 bus home (I definitely already wrote this haha, but it must have gotten erased).
Diego then had to go to work, and I passed out after a few hours working on the audio for my brother's film.
Till' next time.
