Going for a walk? Stupid idea!
Now i know why Thai people don't like
to walk and take a motorbike even for a short distance of just 100
meters: It's simply too hot! I wanted to explore the city and go for
a short walk. But it turned out to be a 2 hour-long and very tiring
one, I sweated a lot. Usually I have quite a good sense of
orientation but here somehow I have not. I lost my way several
times. I walked along the river Nan, throughout the city, passed the
fresh market and went back to my hotel. What I need right now is a
shower!
I don't know whether staying in
Phitsanulok was a good idea either. The city is nice but that's it.
Actually I came here to meet my beloved one, which I did. But it
turned out it just doesn't work out with us:(
So I'm pretty much by myself. Today I
took a Tuk Tuk to Wat Yai, the famous temple here. It's a really
beautiful Buddha there, some say the most beautiful in whole
Thailand.
That was definetely a highlight and
worthwile visiting. In the evening I visited an online friend at the
night bazar. On the way back a poor old Samlor driver whom I took a
pic of this afternoon remembered me and we had a chat.He obviously
was happy to talk with me, unfortunately he talked very fast and not
clearly at all, such as poor people from the countyside do. I didn't
understand half of what he said, which is quite depressing. When I
wanted to leave he begged me for 10 Baht. I usually don't give money
to beggars, there is just too many of them, but in this case it was
ok, since he drove me home the short distance to my hotel.a
I feel very exausted today, that's all
for now folks!
