Day 7 - Boring day on the bus

After being woken up by the guesthouse owners kid running riot, we stiffly walked to grab some breakfast. We then had a little wander around for an hour before catching a very cramped bus to Dali. After three or so hours with our knees around aour ears, we dropped off on the edge of town (the wrong edge), after a while complaining about Lonely Planet's maps we found our hostel. It was an Australian hostel crammed with flashpackers, everyone was wearing North Face everything but seemingly didn't leave the comfort of the hostel. Why anyone would come to China to do nothing grated at us and we could complain more. We had a little walk around Dali and had some amazing food at a 30 year old Dali institution, Cafe de Jack. We just spent the rest of the night trying to catch up with our planning.
