Left Port Medoc7.30 with a guide. John Marie has his boat in Pauillac so he went ahead. Strong currents,Moving at 3kn through the water and speed over ground was 8kn. Jhn Marie was very relaxed and made the trip easier for us. We unstepped the mast there. Met some very nice people.Eamon and Becky. Eamon built his own 40ft steel boat in his shed. Junk rigged. Very nicely done.. Exchanged charts and books with Eamon for reverse journies. Will see him in Falmouth sometime after the 20th when we are back for 2 weeks.
