We spent 4 days in Airlie beach. This was a means to do a sail to the Whitsunday Islands and other trips we fancied. We did a Crocodile Safari on the 2nd day which was excellent - real Crocodile Dundee stuff. Saw loads of Crocs in the natural environment and saw them up pretty close.

Did our Whitsunday sail on our last day. This was a day trip which stopped at Hook Island and Whitsunday Island. Whitehaven beach on Whitsunday Island was absolutely gorgeous - probably the best beach we've seen so far.

Weather is OK but its winter now so not so hot.

G'day folks!!
Hi Folks. See you're in Oz now - fantastic! Well you'll be glad to hear the weather has been absolutely abismal here, no sign of summer yet - you picked a good time to travel I think. The way things are going summer might be here by the time you get home in September. Watch out for those spiders & snakes - I hear they're pretty bad there!
