We had one day back in San Diego before our flight home, so we decided to head back to the Maritime Museum and take their harbor cruise.  When you combo it with your museum admission, the 45 minute tour of the bay is only $4/person.  We boarded the 1914, 52 foot "Pilot" for our cruise, and got an in depth history lesson about San Diego Bay.  We got an up close view of the USS Midway, a recently retired Navy Aircraft Carrier, and got some great views of the modern San Diego skyline.  After, our cruise we hit the streets to find a dinner spot.  We came across The Crab Hut, and we are always on the lookout for a good Shrimp Boil.  The Crab Hut did not disappoint.  They had multiple boil flavors and you can customize the spice level to your liking.  This place was solid; and all things considered, very moderately priced.  A great meal to end our trip!
San Diego and Los Angeles are a great pair of cities.  They are close enough to day trip back and forth if you needed to, but they have their own identities.  San Diego is everything you hear about it and more.  It is just an easy city to be in.  The attractions are world class, the people are friendly and active, and yes it's a weatherman's dream.  LA provides anything you could want, and definitely has the upscale feel going on.  But through it all, the chill LA vibe dominates and makes you think that it is a lifestyle that you could get used to.  Southern California has been good to us, and we will be back!
