We arrived in Chicago just in time for some deep dish Chicago-style pizza with Uncle Mike and Ally, my cousin.  We spent the night reviewing the maps of our future endeavors with Uncle Mike as he regaled us with stories from his years in each of our future destinations.  Sitting by the fire i found some time to write in my journal and do a little reading.  We awoke, went to mass, then i donned my Ray Rice Ravens jersey before Dylan and I boarded the train southbound for Chicago.

We spent the entire afternoon roaming around the streets in what may be one of the most beautiful cities in America.  It was a bit chilly and slightly overcast yet we had a ball taking in the sights and sounds of this very alive city.  We stopped in at the world famous Billy Goat Tavern for a "Cheezeborger" then headed out to Millenium Park, made our way to Bennigan's (an irish pub across from the Art Institute) for a beer and a snack as we stuck out for cheering on the Ravens.  We then headed across to the Art Institute which proved to be a nice stop because its featured exhibit was on Dylan's thesis topic! Finally we made our way to the Yacht Club and strolled around the lake front before heading back into the city for another beer and a train back to lamb chops at Uncle Mike's

Looking forward to the trip west tomorrow to the Badlands...

again more detail to be added this is more or less a little blip and wanted to upload some of the photos... its tough because i can only add five at a time and have so many to choose from!!
