What a build up, what a game and how we were robbed....
It was in K-Town, where the Australian football Juggernaut came to a screaming halt...all thanks to some bad referring and our boy not being able to take advantage of the 10. I tell you what though, sitting in the Aussie section there was total disbelief when the penalty was given. I saw many a grown may shedding tears when Totti put away the penalty. It was totally unjustified. Fair enough if they had beaten us 2 - 0 or on penalties but that was unfair...Most of the Australian section just sat in their seats for about 20 minutes, no one could move, we were just pinching ourselves. After such a great game, with a few close call and some great goal keeping we where all over them in the last 30 minutes. But it wasn't to be and that goes with the good and bad of Football..you just have to cop it on the chin and move on....
At least the Aussies did in style...the boys did us proud, we made it to the round of 16 and so we all partied hard....the streets were still filled with Aussies at 5 in the morning still chanting..stand up for the socceroos...what a great county of people..we can loose..keep our chins up and still drink everybody under the table...
