Hey,

It is colder than any place I have been before here, and I am sure that its not really cold compared to other parts of the world. However, I am pretty sure I am a warm blooded animal that is used to living in the warm climate of Australia.

I have also been a little sick, think I am finally paying for all the lack of sleep I had when I was staying in LA, Vegas and NY. I have been getting lots of sleep, especially as it has been cold and raining most of the day.

I have met a couple of cool people at the Hostel, couple of Aussie from SA are working here and are great guys. They are having a ball living a working here. I think its great for Ami at the Hostel, the staff think she is staying here. She won the in house pool tournament last night beating everyone in the Tournment, I fell asleep at the table at 10:30, so didn't get finish the tournament.

The only problem with Hostel is that my room is right next to the street. At 3 in the morning all the Clubs close, the Hostel is right in the middle of them all. You can imagine what happens, there are people singing and shouting for about the next hour. I have woken up every night so far. I actually went to the reception this morning at 3 because one of the Aussie guys, Moe, was doing the shift and we had a laugh at everyone coming back into the Hostel. So many drunk people, there are CCTV cameras in pretty much everywhere except the rooms and toilets. It scrolls through all the cameras, it was great because we didn't know what was going to pop up next. Had a laugh.

Forced myself out of bed and we went for a Tour around town, it was with a Spanish guy from the Hostel. It was a laugh because he joked about everything. The funniest bit was a part of the Royle Mile, where there is a Heart shaped stone in the ground. Its the sight of an old prison which the council burned down a couple of hundred years ago. Its meant to symbolise dislike for the council. As the guide was telling us this, this Scottish lady , hocked a huge bugger and spat in the middle of the heart. She then exhausted "Yes, Great Shot". Ami thought it was hysterical, as was laughing so hard she almost started crying. Turns out that if you don't like the council you do that, and it also brings you good luck. Its a strange Tradition.

We also walked up to Arthurs seat, same name as the mountain near my home, its right behind town. Its really windy up there and incredibly cold, but well worth it for the view. Check out the photos.

Its also St Pactricks day here, the people are pretty loud already. Its funny there are a lot of Irish people in the Hostel, apparently a lot of them like to get out of Ireland for St Patricks day. I think I will go, out for a bit but will only be on Red Bulls to stay awake, I don't think my body is ready for Alchaol yet.

We have also hired a car for 2 days, its cheaper than training down to Blackpool, our next stop. Its a manual, which should be fun because of both us aren't very experienced at it!
