Dec 2 - 8

Monday: My niece Eliza is 14! Holy cow. That amazing teeny tiny baby I first saw in a small crib in New York in 1999 is practically a grown up...totally frightening.  We grabbed a tasty dinner at Wagamama to celebrate.

Earlier in the day Chris and I grabbed a pulled pork sandwich and a Burger (with Marrow bone...which seems to be a trend recently) at the Richard 1 pub on Royal lane in Greenwich. We talked to the guy that runs the place and found out he lived in San Francisco for a while and worked at Jilian's in the Metreon. Apparently it is easy for everyone to work illegally in the U.S.

We also came to the startling realization that we have reached the half way point of our London trip. This is going crazy quick.

Tuesday: After sleeping in and a little catch-up session of watching "I'm a celebrity Get me Out of here" we head to the gym. Later Chris spent about 3 hours fixing one of his dad's friends Lap Tops and watched his team Westham lose on TV.

Wednesday: Henry my nephew has reached double digits. Yes he is officially 10! We met up at the Westfield in Shepard's bush to watch Thor 2 (which was pretty entertaining and shot in Greenwich). Annabelle, Jim & Eliza met us afterward for dinner at Byron Burger. Annabelle was having a rough day and was pretty much in a heap in the corner - and once she realized that her fits of anger meant NO milkshake she continued down the rabbit hole. Not a happy camper, poor kid.

Thursday: Hit the gym today and at night tried "The Lime" Indian restaurant on the island. Chris' curry seemed to have tough dark meat chicken in it so he was less than pleased and vowed never to return. We walked back home via the Tooke Arms, The Ship, The Nelson and The Ferry House. (The Ferry used to be the much visited local but these days its a bit of a sad shell)

and...Nelson Mandela died today.

Friday: Chinese Noodle place for lunch then a stroll through Greenwich park crossing the prime meridian and a visit to the very cool (and free) astronomy museum. Watched the World cup draw "Live" on TV that night...who knew this was such an event to behold. Seems both the US and England could have had an easier draw!

Saturday: Not much today, just hit the gym and watched a documentary about Stephen Hawking.

Sunday: Gym again today (5 for 7 days this week...go us!) Then just to replace all the calories we may have burned off we headed to the Black Bull with Marc & Louise for the most massive roast dinner I have ever seen in my life. For just 2 quid more the 'mixed' roast provided enough meat to last a lifetime.
