Where I stayed
The drive was great with some spectacular views of the Oregon coastline. We stopped off a couple of times to take in the scenery and breathe in some of that fresh clean air.
Tonight we would be once again spending the night in a KOA cabin, but this was not just any campground. We would be partaking in the mother ship of all KOA's. This one actually has a $6 resort fee. But before we arrived at our luxury (Do you like luxury?) accommodation, we made a quick stop for lunch in the town of Seaside
But for now I will say that seaside is a party town and we did it proud. Lunch was had at the "Firehouse Grill", which i would rate as my favorite meal to date.
Other than that it was a pretty low action day. I built another fire which if i do say so myself I'm getting rather good at. Other milestones for the day were clocking the 1000 miles completed on our trip so far. Also side note I really wish Les would stop singing the chorus from the Beach boy's classic "Sloop John B". For those of you that have not heard it, it goes like this:
Let me go home, let me go home
I wanna go home, yeah yeah
Well, I feel so broke up, I wanna go home.
Not the most inspiring lyrics to hear while your driving down the coast. I just hope she is not trying to send me some kind of hidden message?
