Another interesting drive, such changing landscapes, alot through Native American tribal land.  We passed numerous road side stalls sellin Navajo jewellery.  We wondered whether our next stay in Monument Valley would be in Arizona or Utah and were amazed to see we literally drove over the state line and were there.  We saw many of the amazing rock formations on the way in and couldn't help but be impressed by the incredible way this land has formed.  We arrived at our destination and were a little uncertain about our accomodation, when we saw that it looked like a dolls house.  However it was like the Tardus and even had a kitchen and bathroom.  Chris and I went for a wonder and felt dwarfed by the size of the rocks around us.  We went to the local store and picked up some stuff for dinner and lunch the next day.  Early night tonight and then the next day Chris took the kids up to see the hidden arch while I packed up and we headed off fairly early.  On the way we went via the Mexican Hat, a bizarre formation balancing precariously and then we went to the lookout over the San Juan river where it winds throughout canyons (really beautiful)  Finally we drove up to the mesa(table) at the top of a huge formation and were amazed at the amount of land at the top.  We drove until we were almost onto the boulders and then went boulder hopping to the edge to check out the incredible view. (lot's of fun)  We ate a delicious picnic lunch in the car while we headed for Moab.
