After riding 50 miles to Mendocino, we found out that thy did not have any campgrounds. Unfortunately we had to push another tired and wet 12 miles. We are still in Fort Bragg for a nice rest. Sunday we will push on to somewhere south of Garberville.

oh yeah, i forgot to tell you about those coastal winds. but now you'll be heading inland for a while and winds should not be a problem, just the hills. and once you get around garbageville you shouldn't have a problem finding beautiful campsites amongst the redwoods and along a river. so have fun, be safe, and lets see some pics!

when you get near garbage-ville, check out richardson's grove state park, it's another beautiful campground in the redwoods. and so is anything else along the avenue of the giants.

Thanks for the phone calls, guys! Jess, do you remember Eel River in Garberville? You learned how to swim there. We had the best garlic and clam pizza there in town. Wish I could remember the name of the joint (ha, no pun intended). Be careful there. BTW, Patrick's Point is about 25 mi. north of Eureka. It's one of the top 100 family campground spots in the nation. They have Bike & Camp sites. If you go there, check out Fern Canyon. Love and prayers. Mom

Our travelers made it to Garberville today, rain slowed them down a bit.
Cindy - there is a spot on their page that says "support our travels", click on that link and it takes you to PayPal. Chris & Jess - check your acct, I deposited $100 today, want tomake sure it goes through. Love you both.
