Jackson is cute and we had a proper little chalet all to ourselves! And its just a teensy weensy bit away from Grand Teton National Park. Alana and Jamie had already visited Teton and had some pretty photos so we were looking forward to it
. And this time proper close-up mountains with snow on top! And clouds that float around the middle like as if you've died and gone to heaven. And still glass lakes with perfect reflections. But we STILL didn't see any bears! We kept looking and hoping but only saw signs warning us of their presence. We did see a lot of those funny little creatures that stand up on their back legs though, scanning the horizon, scurrying away into holes the size of golf balls. They dart around everywhere looking for something special that we won't ever know about.
We did our now obligatory hike to a waterfall following a boat ride on Jenny Lake - Next stop, Yellowstone, mind blowing!
And so, with Yellowstone and Grand Teton still to visit, we were looking forward to rounding off the end of our trip with even more of the stunning scenery this country has graciously bestowed upon us. We left Utah behind (my favourite state) and drove into Wyoming to a place called Jackson Hole, a cutey-pie kinda place all mountain chalet-type buildings and trendy outdoor shops with a huge welcome arch made completely out of Elk antlers and a mountain at the end of the Main Street. Or maybe they weren't REAL Elk antlers were they? There is an Elk refuge across the road from our hotel! Poor Elks
