We caught a train from Chennai to Kollam where we hired a houseboat on the Kerala backwaters.
We had to catch a smaller longboat to cruise around Munroe island, where our guide Sudersan gave us a mini spice tour (in his back garden!!), and showed us some of the smaller backwater canals which were absolutely stunning.
Absolutely beautiful and one of the highlights of India.
