We stayed in Bodrum for two nights arriving at 9 pm on the first night. Much to our excitement there was a swimming pool which was lovely after a 10 hour day!
In Bodrum we visited the old castle which is now an underwater archaeological museum. It is essentially a castle with old shipwrecks and the contents of old shipwrecks on display. It was on a point overlooking town and had amazing views.
After lunch we walked back to the hotel via the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus. We were too cheap to 8 lira to visit as it looked just to be a hole in the ground. Originally it was 45m high and was decorated by 5 of the best architects of the time. It was destroyed by an earthquake and then looted.
