Where I stayed
Today we spent a few hours on the beaches near the hotel. Everyone hassles you on the beach, buy this, do that, come here, go there, bla bla bla. In the end we settled for this little beach shack where I had a lovely foot massage and pedicure. Very relaxing.
People in Goa need to stop throwing litter on the floor and urinating in the street. It's such a beautiful place but the litter really spoils it. We even saw a dead dog on the beach which was upsetting.
On our way out tonight we met a group of professional dancers and headed to a beach shack for a few drinks. They were meant to be dancing in Mumbai but discovered when they got there that they would get paid half they were Toledo decided to travel India a bit. A few drinking games later and we were finished. Wasn't feeling the greatest the day after.
We hired a car today. Which works our about £10 per day and apparently illegal. We drove to Morjim beach which was much nicer. Lots less litter.
Again people wanting to sell you stuff. A couple of Goan ladies came up and enjoyed commenting on how pale I am and that I need to work on my tan. One of the also wanted to epilate my legs, I had been having that much of a good time that I had forgotten about de-fuzzing. I soon sorted that when we got back to the hotel.
The road are so safe in England compared to the places we've been so far. So much over-taking and horn honking. Chris is the designated driver as he is far more daring than me. He loves honking his horn. So much in fact that I think he is going to bring horn honking to the UK.
Went to a nice seafood restaurant tonight with a great view. Really pretty.
We can't believe we have been away for over three weeks already. I'm missing eating salads and my gym routine. I've done no exercise for days, maybe even a week. I suppose all the walking counts as exercise but it's not the same.
After typing the above, I dragged myself for a swim. 20 mins though - poor effort.
There are power cuts everyday in Goa. One happened just now while typing this. Pitch black - spooky!
