We arrived at our hostel, checked in, and were then taked to our ¨flat,¨ in a crappy industrial district under construction, with our twin beds touching in a claustrophobic room.  No thanks.  We wandered further into the pretty part of Granada, which is beautiful, tiled roofs with views of snow covered sierra nevada mountains, and the Alhambra atop the hill.  Found a better hostel, met some crazy Scots, found some mexican food, which we ate at twice.  Come on, we have needs and things we just cant live without. The shops wound around the hills of Granada, full of amazing goods, but we´re holding out for those silk parachute pants until India.  Then we toured Alhambra on our last day (we advise booking in advance).  Breathtaking.  The Generalife gardens are something out of Alice and Wonderland.  The themes are all based on water and symmetry.  Seriously just google it, it is indescribeable. And like many religous sites in Spain it had a mosque turned church, turned mosque again. The Nasrid Palace was by far the most beautiful architecture and interior design, with tiles that layered in circles on the ceiling to represent the heavens.  The Alhambra is something everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.  On our way to the train Monday evening, while running down the street to catch a taxi, I heard Caitlin cry out from behind me.  I turned around to see her frantically wiping her face and looking at her hand in disgust.  It actually happened.  Caitlin got pooed on by a bird.  Thank you pigeon for a wonderful send off.
