Today we took a rail tour out to the Irish countryside. We visited the tiny village of Avoca, which was at the base of the Wicklow Mountains. The village was beautiful, and of course, we stopped in a famous pub (Fitzgeralds) for a Guinness. Then we moved on to the ancient monastic settlement of Glendalough. We took a mile hike from the upper lake to the lower lake (thank you, Risa, for making me pack my tennis shoes!!) finishing at the ruins of the settlement. It rained while the sun was shining, and the scenery was unbelievable. We posted some pictures of our day, so let us know if you can't view them. We hope we are doing this right.
Again, we miss you all and hope everyone is doing well!!
Tomorrow we fly to London, and hope to get to a computer there. We will update you as soon as possible. Until then...CHEERS!!
