Arrived in Singapore at 7am after 3,752 miles, seven hours flight and absolutely no sleep. Consequently I spent most of Friday wandering around Singapore like a zombie. On Sunday I headed out to Changi Prison museum where POWs were kept during World War II. Kind of - They moved the prison so they could turn that site into a prison. Really.

As I was leaving the bus to Changi village arrived to I made a quick decision to go there rather than head back to the concrete jungle. After a quick sprint for the bus I managed to roll my ankle and went flying (it was quite impressive - even an Italian footballer would have been proud). So my right ankle is now twice the size of the left and my walking tour of Singapore turned into more of a hobble. I still managed to cover quite a big of ground - the parks, monuments, canal / river front, etc...

Eventually I made it to the Raffles Hotel where the colonial high society used to hang out. It seems I don't fit into that category as it only took them three minutes to throw me out. Luckily there's a bar around the back where the riffraff can hangout and get their Singapore slings.

I've been staying in little India which means I can get to hear as many Bollywood show tunes as I like and the 5am prayer meeting in the local mosque acted as a great wake up call. I also found a cool "restaurant" near there called "Pig's Organ Soup". The "Pig's Spine Soup" is their speciality. Yum yum.

I'm in the airport now about to head off to Brunei. One country down, a load more to go...
