Thoughts while pedaling: It's not the cycling, or the scenery that makes a bicycling tour special it's the incredible people you meet along the way. Some you bring with you, some you find along the way and others you just share a moment and a story.

What an amazing culmination to a wonderful tour. After meeting many cyclists who had ridden the Going to the Sun Rd. to Logan's Pass 6,646 ft. I decided that to get this far and not finish at the Visitors Center there would be silly. Yesterday Josh and I were introduced to John Bauer an semi-retired Hedge Fund Manager who has toured extensively. John had ridden the road yesterday from St. Mary's so he decided to join us to experience the climb from the south. Is was a great day. While there is extensive traffic it is all moving around 25 mph and all of the drivers were wonderful practically and some actually cheering us on! The views are amazing as we climbed along the right edge of the road looking over a small rail (3 ft. high) looking sometimes hundreds of feet straight down. Didn't see any mountain goats or grizzly bears but many glaciers, streams and waterfalls. Overall a tremendous day ended with a swim in crystal clear water of Lake McDonald, a Buffalo burger and Huckleberry cobbler at the Apgar cafe. I felt on top of the world today!
