Not much to write today, been doing big miles for several days now. I'm not sure why other than I'm getting pretty good at this by now. Perhaps, "The horse is smelling the barn". I'm starting to feel like I just want to put this one in the books and go home.
I would like to personally thank the Idaho Dept. of Transportation (IDOT) though for that glassy piece of new pavement between Council and Fruitvale. It was like an IDOT worker personally changed me out of my beat up old chamois into a new silk diaper. Ahhhhhh!
Thoughts while pedaling: Its funny what you learn on a trip like this. It's not the flashes if insight into God, the universe, and ones character we hope for. It's the odd things, like:
Thought #1: I now can distinguish between a typical semi truck, a livestock truck, a logging truck and a stacked logging truck (empty) just by sound. I guess my life is complete now.
Thought #2: Did you know that Ranch Country flies taste like cow pies? (Don't ask how I know what a cow pie tastes like, just trust me.). While Urban flies just taste like SHIT!

Stats:
Distance: 67 miles
Ride Time: 6:30 Real Time: 9:00 (but new TZ)
Vertical Feet: 4500 ft.
