We began our day by disembarking the Ms Statendam and going through customs.  It was very orderly and easy to do.  You can tell they've done this sort of thing before.  The ship docked at 7 a.m. and our disembarkation time was 9:20.  We were part of the Purple Group 4.  Purple Group 4's loaded onto a touring coach for a City tour followed by a transfer to the airport.

It was an overcast day with some mild showers now and then and the warmest temperatures we've had since we've been gone.  The clouds caused us to avoid some of the scenic overlooks because there wouldn't have been anything to see :-)

Vancouver is the 2nd largest port in the world and Canada's 3rd largest city.  I heard conflicting statistics on their Stanley Park--one said it is the largest city park in North America; another said it is the second largest city park in NA.  It is very beautiful with some absolutely gorgeous tall trees.  Vancouver also has a population that is 30% Asian, so we had a drive through an interesting Chinatown.  Also visited a market place, the name escapes me right now, where we ate lunch and strolled through several artisan shops--quite different from your usual junk gift shops.

We are now awaiting our Sunday morning 8:45 a.m. flight time at the Hampton Inn airport.  We had gotten $100 Canadian money on Monday at Whitehorse and spent the last $12.58 at Burger King for supper!  It has been a long time since we have had to count our pennies to decide what we could choose to eat from the menu :-)

See you in Sullivan tomorrow!  Will enter some pictures later this week.
