After a nice sleep in we were up and on the road by about 10.30am to get a cab to LAX - only a few km down the road.  We checked our luggage and went through security but unfortunately our flight was delayed by 1 1/2 hours.  We both checked and sent emails and read to keep ourselves entertained then finally boarded our flight.

We arrived in San Fransisco about 4pm and made our way to Union Square to the Handlery Hotel - our accommodation for the next 3 nights.   Anther cab ride down to Fishermans Wharf and had some tea at this Italian/Seafood place called Swiss Louis. The clam chowder was excellent - it came served in a sour dough roll - such a San Fran thing and I lapped it up.

Off to a local bar called the Brazen Head to meet up with one of Thommo's friends Mikey and a few of his work friends. More drinks there and we then moved down to Fillmore Street to a bar called Matrix - the clubs in town all close at 2am - very early!  The drinks are really strong though - they don't use a measuring device like the tight-ass clubs in Melbourne where every drop counts - it wrecked Thommo and he had to go have a spew... A big night had by all....!
