Michi and I arrived at the Hyatt Regency Huahin at 10 pm. We were checked in our Regency Club room by the kindest hotel staff. Special thanks to the Director of Marketing, and my former boss, Mr Eugene Tamesis for the room upgrade!
Enjoying our room service
After settling down, we explored the Fountain Lounge and ordered room service before finally signing off.
Early next morning, Michiko and I decided to catch some fresh air and participating in the yoga class in the Tranquility court of The Barai Spa. It was refreshing! The soft nature sounds and getting our joints pulled. What a way to start the morning.

We had a healthy filling breakfast at the Regency Club Lounge before we took a dip in the pool. Aaaahhh, the joy!
Basking in the sun, having someone bring us complimentary fruits and drinks... Wow... that was simply spectacular! We spent the rest of the morning by the pool and beach side, listening to the waves and simply enjoying the lazy day.

Elephant Ride at Huahin Safari and Adventure
We had iced coffee at the RC Lounge before we spent our in the Huahin Safari and Adventure. Here we explored the area aboard Burma the 30 year old elephant. We had a blast. The elephant walked across the lake and went around the area. It costs 800 Baht, not bad for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. They also have a stop over where you can have a snack of pineapples and coconut juice. This includes transfers by the way. We were able to get this tour package thru the very helpful concierge of the Hyatt. -- the concierge, they will always be your best friend.
There is a shuttle out of the hotel to town every hour and we went shopping fore more souvenirs in the Market Village downtown after cocktails and canapes at the lounge. The Market Village was quite modern, they had interesting stores of Thai products outside and a normal mall inside. And there's Starbucks! Going back, we had difficulty getting a cab, this was because everybody else was hailing one. We didn't know there was such a thing as motorcycle cabs... as in you really get a ride from a motorcycle for 30 baht each. Michi was being adventurous so we took the ride even if both of us had several shopping bags.
We then dressed up for our night-out with some Huahin friends, Nice and Ae who took us to Wave Pub where we had whiskey and tonic -- their staple alcoholic item. After some drinks they took us to a local diner where we had authentic streetside Thai food... and man, were they spicy!!!

We met Mr Tamesis again for breakfast the next day and he treated us to lunch at the You and Mee restaurant... I had yet another bout with the palatable pad Thai.
There's thai massage available by the shore by the way. This is something you shouldn't miss in Thailand... but we did due to lack of time! :(
